The approach chosen for creating awareness is in line with the latest Eurobarometer survey, concerning the ways the Greeks wish to receive information about using the Internet in a safer way: a) to create awareness through TV, radio and the press, supported by the Greek SaferInternet portal and a set of awareness tools; b) to educate parents, children and the general public through social and educational events, and to create a multiplier-effect network by mobilising the teachers to become awareness raisers in their classrooms and among their peers, and the reporters to spread our messages through the mass media.

Extreme Media Solutions is coordinator of SafeNetHomePlus, ensuring the creation and implementation of a good and realistic awareness campaign. Extreme Media Solutions has been participating in all Safer Internet awareness activities since 2001, thus having deep experience on the issues that need to be tackled, as well as the means to create successful and effective awareness raising. Extreme has launched and is responsible for the Greek ‘one-stop-shop’ awareness portal www.saferinternet.gr, and has already implemented a variety of print and electronic awareness tools and activities for youngsters, educators, and the general public.

The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ERT is partner of the Greek node. Through its TV and radio channels, as well as through its satellite network, ERT will act as a multiplier factor for the awareness campaign within and beyond the Greek borders.
