Editorial
Welcome to the November edition of the Insafe Newsletter

The November issue of the newsletter focuses on social aspects of the internet. More and more children and young people are going online to make and meet friends, and discuss the issues they care about.

As social use of the internet grows, so does the importance of related safety issues.  The campaign for safer internet in Belgium is coordinated by OIVO-CRIOC.  The aim is to raise awareness among all Belgian children and teens and encourage them to make better use of the internet and mobile communication technologies..

At a press conference, held toward the end of October, the Safer Internet Belgium Platform presented:
• Two new games about safer internet, "CrazyMouse" and "Spotmyblog"
• Results of a new study by Professor Walrave from Antwerp University about the lack of e-privacy on websites for children and teens.

Further information on these can be found in the articles in the country focus section of this newsletter.
