2nd European Network and Information Security Conference

16-17 November, Vilnius/Lithuania

Objective of the conference

The main objective of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion on how to ensure security in networks and information systems operated by institutions and private organizations, including SMEs. A particular focus will be delivered to protection of critical information infrastructures.

Main topics of the conference

  • Network and information security (NIS) management policy: design, implementation and assessment
  • Standards developed for network and information security management
  • Critical information infrastructure's protection (CIIP)

Pre-conference workshop

On the 15th November, a pre-conference workshop is scheduled. The pre-conference workshop will focus on practical aspects of ensuring security in corporate networks and information systems.

Target audience of the event

  • Representatives of governmental institutions of EU Member States working in the field of NIS and CIIP;
  • Representatives of private organizations, including SMEs dealing with NIS and CIIP.

Date and location of the conference

The conference will be held on 16-17 November 2006 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The pre-conference workshop will be held on 15 November 2006 (Wednesday) and will cover the full day of 15th November. The conference will cover the full day of 16th November 2006 (Thursday) and the first half of 17th November 2006 (Friday).
