The Media Literacy Award recognises the best and most innovative educational media projects in European schools.

Mediamanual.at and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture hosts the annual competition.

Contributions in the categories multimedia, video, radio and print are welcome, all genres are possible. They should be innovative, amusing, original, exciting and/or experimental. Mini-dramas are as welcome as research projects and best practice examples of creative media education in schools. A jury will assess the entries and the best will be awarded.

All European schools are invited to take part in the award. Entry deadline is 15 July 2006.
