Raising the flag on good practice

Part of INSAFE's purpose is to facilitate the sharing of best practice between the members of the network and make it publicly available.
The INSAFE web portal (www.saferinternet.org) enables this through its library where national nodes can upload documents or descriptions of their best practice, the events page and now through a little interactive application which we can find at the bottom of the portal home page.

So what are the Finns up to this month?

By clicking on any flag of the nodes' country, a brief description of the practice and a link appears on the bottom line. Any surfer who's a little short of time can thus quickly see what is going on throughout the network. This virtual tour is updated monthly, at least, with the items that nodes want to flag up.

In November, we find out that in Austria, Saferinternet.at was repeatedly live studio guest on the largest Austrian radio station ORF Ö3 with more than 1 million listeners per broadcast. Meanwhile, in Belgium, they were attacking cyberbullying. The Cypriots were offering tips for shopping online safely, the Czechs were spreading the message to their regions, the Danes were in tight collaboration with Microsoft... and that was just by clicking on the first five flags!
