The winners have been announced in a national internet safety competition that has been running in Australia. |
Sydney northern suburbs schools, Brookvale Public and Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College were recently announced as winners of NetAlert's CyberSafe school awards for excellence.
The inaugural national competition recognises schools that demonstrate best practice in online safety and is proudly supported by leading online media company ninemsn.
The competition was open to all primary and secondary schools across Australia and ran from April to June.
Schools were assessed on a number of criteria including: the nature of programs developed; ease of implementation; and successful outcomes. Overall, the judges were looking for innovative programs that had achieved positive outcomes for students, teachers and the wider school community.
