CyberNetrix released in Australia
CyberNetrix, an internet safety education program for secondary school aged children (7 – 12 years), has now been launched in Australia. |
The internet safety education program CyberNetrix has been delivered to all schools in Australia with secondary school students. Teacher and parent materials have been included with the resource to ensure effective use of the interactive media by children.
Students progress through a number of activities in their virtual bedroom and make decisions in relation to various internet safety problems. Good decisions will return positive outcomes in the game and bad decisions can prove costly.
As well as the CD-ROM version of the game, CyberNetrix can also be played online. You can visit CyberNetrix at:
Complimenting the CyberNetrix resource, schools in Australia also received a copy of the internet safety DVD for youth, WiseuptoIT.
The DVD covers 4 internet safety topics relevant to teenagers. Each of the 4 clips tells a story of a teenager’s struggle with an internet safety issue such as cyber bullying or cyber stalking.
The clips can be viewed from the WiseuptoIT website at:
The CyberNetrix interactive and WiseuptoIT DVD have been receiving positive feedback from schools around Australia. If you would like any more information on these programs, please contact NetAlert in Australia at enquries@netalert.net.au , or visit the website at http://www.netalert.net.au
