Slovak node publishes safety tip flyers for children
The Slovak node has prepared a fact sheet, which is to be included in children’s school books and workbooks. The flyer will be distributed among pupils across the Slovak Republic. The dissemination process will be organised by teachers, and the awareness raising campaign will cover not just children, but also inform adults on the dangers of internet use. |
The flyers contain basic tips, which have been drawn from safety materials (Prevention). The form and language are chosen according to the children’s school year. The node has now completed school books and workbooks for 9th grade Natural Science, and 7th and 8th grade History.
The Prevention materials will be used as a training tool and resources for teachers, parents and trainers. These cover different areas and topics, like pornography, cyberbullying, addiction, and cyber crime. It has been written by a team of more than 20 experts. The aim is to provide information about different risks on the internet and the consequences for children and young people. At the same time, every chapter contains safety tips to avoid risks online.
