[4 April 2011] Insafe Network prepares for SID 2012!
Today the Insafe network began a two-day meeting in the Carpathian mountain resort of Sinaia. Famous for its fabulous scenery and its proximity to Dracula’s castle in Transylvania, this is also the ideal spot to bring together Insafe members to discuss current and future actions of the network. The main topic of these two days’ discussions is the theme and slogan for Safer Internet Day 2012.
[5 April 2011] Lithuanian children facing dangers on the internet will receive help
Since July 2011, Lithuanian children who faced luring, cyber-bullying, harassing, harmful content or other bad or intimidating experience over the internet will receive help. The Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (further RRT) has concluded a cooperation agreement for the public establishment of a “ChildLine” on help provision; “ChildLine” will also function as a safer internet helpline. Operating in the majority of European countries, the helpline number 116111 will be accessible to the children of Lithuania.
[8 February 2011] Take a stand on Safer Internet Day! It's more than a game, it's your life!
Today the Insafe network, European network of Safer Internet Centres, is celebrating Safer Internet Day for the eighth consecutive year. This is the occasion of the year to join our efforts in making the internet a better place for our children and young people. Since the first edition of SID in 2004, interest has grown tremendously world wide to reach all five continents and almost 70 countries, from Canada to South Korea and Russia to Kenya, including all 27 countries of the European Union.
[5 July 2010] Insafe/Inhope regional meeting: Coping with the challenge of children using emerging technologies
The INSAFE network, in cooperation with the Irish Awareness Centre NCTE, will host the INHOPE / INSAFE Western Regional Meeting in Dublin, Ireland, on 5-6 July 2010. During two days high-profile actors in online safety issues will focus on “Coping with the challenge of children using emerging technologies”.

Happy Safer Internet Day! Today marks the seventh edition of the event. Celebrations are taking in more than 60 countries on all 5 continents across the world, from Canada to South Korea, and Russia to Kenya and including all 27 countries of the European Union.
