The lesson plan provides opportunities for pupils to create online safety materials for a different audience - their parents. They will have to design the leaflet and carefully consider the contents, deciding on key messages that they want to give. Their own knowledge of online safety issues will be enhanced as a result and as they are writing for a specific purpose they will be motivated to think carefully about what they are doing.
