About our SID activities
What we are doing to create a better internet…
To make the internet a safer place for learning, playing and communicating the joined efforts of all - children, young people, parents, teachers, state institutions, and the IT sector - are needed.
About us
The Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre (SIC) was established back in 2006 by the non-governmental organisation Applied Research and Communications Fund. At first, a hotline was launched. In 2008, another NGO - Association Parents joined to add an awareness node, and in 2011 a helpline was launched. An advisory board consisting of 30 public and private institutions, organisations and bodies and a Youth Panel are assisting the SIC in defining strategies, conducting initiatives and developing useful awareness, teaching and training materials.
